Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) : A wedding in Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh turned into an unimaginable tragedy when 27-year-old groom Pradeep Jat fell unconscious and died naturally when he was still seated on his wedding mare. It was just moments before that he had been dancing joyously with his baraat.
A Celebration Turns Into Sorrow
Around 11 PM Friday night, Pradeep arrived at the bride’s house, all pumped up and jubilant. He was called and welcomed and performed all the rituals. He danced with friends and family to the DJ’s beats after striking the door with the ‘toran.’ The joy was palpable in the atmosphere.
The Sudden Collapse
Pradeep did eventually get back onto his horse but moments later collapsed against the animal, looking spent. At first, guests thought he was simply catching his breath after all the dancing but when he grew unresponsive, panic ensued. Family members dragged him down and attempted CPR before racing him to the hospital. Sadly, doctors pronounced him dead on arrival, believing he had suffered a cardiac arrest.
Bride Collapses After Hearing the News
The devastating news proved too much for the bride who collapsed when she learned that Pradeep had died. Festivities turned to mourning overnight, and his last rites were performed the following day.
This tragic news comes one week after a 23-year-old woman fell while dancing at her cousin’s sangeet in Vidisha District and died on the spot. Life is truly unpredictable.
