Maharashtra : Some children are good at math and some may even be great at it but Aaryan Shukla is something else. Just in one day at the age of 14, this genius kid from Maharashtra, India broke 6 Guinness World Records making him a real human calculator.
Breaking Records Like a Pro
Aaryan first dreamed of equivalent fame when he broke the record for mentally adding 50 five-digit numbers in an incredible 25.19 seconds. That’s one addition every half a second! He went on to catch the eye of Guinness World Records which asked him to travel to Dubai to take on an even bigger challenge. What happened next just blew my mind!
Aaryan broke a total of six records in a single day which are:
✅ Fastest time to mentally add 100 four digit numbers
✅ Farthest distance travelled in a single leg using a hand truck
✅ First to divide a 20-digit number by a 10-digit number in under ten seconds
✅ Most efficient way to multiply several sets of large numbers
How Does He Do It?
Aaryan spent 5-6 hours overall practice sessions and says yoga has helped him to stay focused. When asked how he calculates so rapidly, he replied that “it’s all in a flash. I don’t think–I just do it!”
His mother remembers him being able to multiply numbers from an early age. Only at the age of 6, he began to practice mental calculations and by 8, he had already met several international competitions!
